Work has begun at Roloff Park in Laguna Vista in a project that will give it a whole new look. This Saturday is tabbed as “Spruce Up Day” at the park and City Manager Rolando Vela is inviting everyone to come and be a part of this.
“We have already had people stopping by and telling us that it’s looking better,” he said, “and we are planning on a big day Saturday.”
The upgrades include replacing the park sign, repainting the restrooms, installing steel grills, applying new mulch on the playground sets and applying dirt to level the park grounds. Already the work has begun and Saturday morning there will be plenty to do.
“We can use all of the help we can get,” said Vela, “we are hoping that everyone in the community can make it so that they can help be a part of something that they can enjoy.”
The public is asked to be at the park at 9 a.m. and the work is expected to last until 1 p.m.
