The City of Port Isabel will soon be getting a new website to promote and inform the public on various topics, including news, on what is happening in surrounding communities and stories about local history.
The proposal was approved to redesign the Port Isabel EDC website for $2,500 at the Port Isabel City Commission meeting on March 28.
Valerie Bates from the Port Isabel Economic Development Corporation will be designing the website. Bates was unable to attend the meeting.
Janie Villarreal, EDC Administrator, will be sharing the content responsibility with Bates and said the website will be available soon.
“The website should be completed in 90 days,” Villarreal said.
Mayor Joe E. Vega said that he would like to see the website promote the city parks and events happening at the parks. He also wants to make sure that it publicizes city events so that the community can be better informed.
