West Oso on paper comes in with not a lot of stats that will overwhelm a team. They come in with a record that hovers just above the .500 mark and finished in third place in District 31-3A behind Robstown and Lyford.
West Oso is coached by Robin Pesnell and she has guided the Lady Bears through a season that could have been ugly at the mid way point.

Friday afternoon the bus will pull away from Port Isabel High School around 3 p.m. and the Lady Tarpon Softball team will officially begin their journey into the play-offs for a first time since the 2002 season. Riding a stout defense that stands behind a young pitcher that has been, at times, dominating. The team is poised to take on West Oso in a one-game format to determine who moves on to the next round.
