With a newly appointed president, Laguna Vista’s Community Development Corporation is scheduled to meet tonight to take up plans for the development of a community comprehensive plan.
A reorganization of the board recently was implemented by the City Council. John Karcarnes was named to serve as president of the CDC by the Town on June 14. He previously served as vice chairman of the board. A new appointee will also be seated, as per Council action. And, Roxanne Gunzel was named to step up to the vice-president’s slot, following Karcanes advancement.
Also, Ian Monroe, a loan officer in the Laguna Madre area was unanimously voted-in by the Town Council to fill the unexpired term of Ken Irwin, former Town alderman.
