With three new parks’ projects proposed for construction in Laguna Vista, Council members voted Tuesday to seek proposals for a financial advisor to help determine if such improvements are indeed feasible.
Officials recently received a master plan for improvements to Roloff Park, and for a new walking/jogging trail on a 15-acre tract of land set aside for recreational use near the golf course.
Interest has also been generated in developing the 23-acre tract of land donated to the Town several years ago by the Yturria family.
While real estate for the projects is held by the Town, funding for those projects has not yet been formally discussed. With potential funding options in mind, the Council took the next step to probe funding opportunities.
“You will need a professional financial advisor if you are going to incur debt,” interim Attorney Ramon Vela told the board.
