Development of a new walking trail in Laguna Vista was set back last week with the cancellation of a public hearing scheduled to hear comments before the Parks and Recreation Board.
Two years ago, the Town received a $100,000 grant from Texas Parks and Wildlife Department to build a jogging/walking trail in the community. In early January, the Parks and Recreation Board took action to recommend that a trail be built at a City-owned 15 acre tract of property using the $100,000, and a required $25,000 match from the town that will also go toward construction expenses.
