A proposed zoning map of Laguna Vista will be the topic at a public hearing scheduled Tuesday, Aug. 16 by the Towns’ Planning & Zoning Commission.
A public hearing to solicit comments on the new document is scheduled at 6 p.m. in City Hall, 122 Fernandez Street.
“The meeting is open to the public. We welcome all concerns,” said Rolando Vela, city manager, who noted that the original zoning map is more than 40 years old.
The public hearing is a part of the overall process of the P&Z’s work before the Town finalizes the map. “They would like to hear from the public before making a formal recommendation to the Town Council,” said Vela.
