Lady Tarpons head volleyball coach George Hamilton likes his team’s chances of challenging for the District 32-3A title and making a return to the post-season playoffs.

Through the first six matches of district play, the team has a 5-1 record and is in second place behind undefeated Zapata. On Saturday, they got past Rio Hondo in five sets.

The Lady Hawks are the defending district champions and Coach Hamilton’s squad has split two meetings with Zapata this season. The first one took place last month in a tournament hosted by the Lady Tarpons.
