It was the most complete game Port Isabel has played this season. The Tarpons scored the first three times they had the ball, didn’t turn it over once, and defeated the Brownsville Veterans Memorial Chargers, 31-15, Friday night at Tarpon Stadium.
Playing at home for the first time since Sept. 2, the Tarpons proved once again that one good way to win is to bring their running game, and play defense like they mean it.
On their first drive they kept it on the ground all but one play and scored on a three-yard plunge. On their second possession a 66-yard run was all that was needed, and PI led 14-0 in the first quarter.
