A kilo of cocaine was found in a trash can at Isla Blanca Park on Wednesday, Oct. 12.
At approximately 7:45 a.m., Constable Horacio Zamora said he received a phone call from a Cameron County Parks maintenance worker at the park saying he believed he found a bag of cocaine in one of the trash cans on the beach.
Constables arrived at the location and field tested the contents, finding that it was indeed cocaine.
The package was a rectangular shaped white colored substance wrapped inside a clear plastic.
