The Instrument of Peace Choir from St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Houston, under the direction of Matt Matthews, will the be guest choir and provide music for two masses at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Port Isabel the weekend of Nov. 5-6. Saturday Mass (Nov. 5) will be at 5 p.m. and Sunday mass (Nov. 6) will be at 10 a.m.
The choir’s repertoire includes African American spirituals, gospel music, Latin and English hymns of the Roman Catholic Tradition and Broadway musicals.
