The City of Harlingen has planned an unforgettable musical presentation of the “Other Willie” – Willie Fortune’s tribute to Willie Nelson – “Willie and Friends.”
Even Willie Nelson himself mentioned to Willie Fortune, “You look more like me than I do!”
The sound, songs, and voice are an unforgettable tribute to Willie Nelson coming to Harlingen for one show only – Monday, Jan. 16 at 2 p.m. to the Harlingen Municipal Auditorium – 1204 Fair Park Blvd., Harlingen, TX 78550.
Tickets for free (for winter Texans) on a “first come-first serve” basis and tickets are expected to be distributed quickly. You must have a ticket for admission. Willie Fortune explained the idea of developing a Willie Nelson Musical Tribute Show. The real Willie Nelson liked the idea and encouraged Willie to do it. He gave his permission, blessing, encouragement, and endorsement. He personally signed guitars and several of his books and they took some pictures together.
This Tribute Show is one-of-a-kind, capturing the real Willie Nelson exactly, with songs you recognize and love and a show that Willie Nelson himself respects and encouraged to develop.
The “Willie and Friends” Show has gained popularity everywhere, and fans can’t wait for the show to come back to their area again and again.
