Policy governing use of SPI logo on agenda

Special to the PRESS

gavelSouth Padre Island’s City Council meets in regular session at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 18. The Council will hear presentations on the Coastal Resource Information Handbook and the newly redesigned monthly financial report for the City and then move on to discussion and action items on the agenda.

The first item for discussion and possible action is the development of a Logo Usage Policy to govern the use of the City of South Padre Island’s logo. The Council will also discuss the possible approval of a Software and Services agreement with eGov Strategies LLC to provide a credit card processing service for the collection of Hotel Occupancy Tax. Such a service would allow those owing hotel occupancy tax to remit payments via credit card, thus expediting the collection process.
