Mayor appointed to interim committee

gavelAt the Jan. 18 regular City Council Meeting, Mayor Robert N. Pinkerton, Jr. made the announcement of his appointment by the House of Representatives to the Joint Interim Committee to Study Seacoast Territory Insurance. The purpose of the committee is to examine alternative ways to provide insurance to the state’s seacoast territory, including through a quasi-governmental entity.

“I look forward to working with the committee on a most important issue facing the Texas Coast. It is important to establish a good seacoast insurance program,” said Mayor Robert N. Pinkerton, Jr.
