The Port Isabel High School baseball and softball teams have not been very successful so far this season, from the standpoint of wins and losses.
Both teams have losing records as they prepare to start their district seasons, but positive signs hint at better things to come.
Actually, the baseball team has already played their district opener. This past Monday, the Tarpons hosted Zapata and the Hawks left town with a 15-2 win that was called after five innings on the 10-run rule.
