ElectionsElection Day for the Democratic and Republican primary runoffs is Tuesday. Polls open at 7 a.m. and close at 7 p.m.

Several races were left unsettled after the May election, including the race for the newly formed District 34 Congressional District. Other high-profile races include two Democrats’ bid for Cameron County District Attorney as well as the District Two State Board of Education race.

Republicans must choose their candidates for railroad commissioners and two Supreme Court justices, races that were settled on the Democratic side of the ticket.

Early voting in this election began last Monday and will end Friday.
