The Port Isabel Chamber of Commerce held its first quarterly meeting Friday.
Guest speaker for the meeting was Port Isabel City Manager Edward Meza. He said the city is working hard on beautification to better serve visitors as well as residents.
Meza said the city is working on several projects that will help the community grow, such as the Garcia Street improvements and improvements made to the parks around the city.
Sidewalks for increased safety around Port Isabel are also being installed, Meza said. The city is also pleased with the landscaping for all the projects that have come from donors.
