Convention and Visitor’s Bureau Director Lacey Ekberg presented the direction of the CVB at Coffee and Conversation Thursday.
Ekberg said in her four months on the Island that she has realized what a tremendous place it could be. She said finding personal interests and following passions will bring more visitors to the Island.
It was announced that the Adkins Group services would no longer be utilized. Marketing will now be done in house rather than using an outside source, Ekberg said, to show and tell about Island personalities.
The ‘I am SPI’ video campaign will highlight Island businesses and promote the area as a tourist attraction, Ekberg said.
