City asks citizens to do their part against mosquitoes

Special to the Parade

MosquitoPort Isabel Mayor Joe E. Vega and city commissioners along with the Port Isabel Health Department are asking citizens to do their part in preventing mosquitoes.

The City of Port Isabel has been spraying for mosquitoes and citizens can do their part by using the tips and information below:

Limit Mosquitoes By Limiting Breeding

Breeding sources consist of standing water. If there are any places around your home where water collects i.e., water-holding containers, storm drains, clogged rain gutters, swimming pools, ornamental ponds, etc. – You may be breeding mosquitoes.

All mosquitoes need water to complete their life cycle. Do not provide it to them.
