The Port Isabel Lady Tarpons volleyball team played their final non-district match Tuesday evening at Tarpon Fieldhouse. They came out on top against Brownsville Porter, winning with scores of 25-23, 25-8, 22-25 and 25-18.
According to head coach Julie Breedlove, there are things that need to be attended to as the team heads into this Saturday’s district-opening match at home against Zapata.
“We’d like to have gone three sets to none,” Coach Breedlove said after the match. “I guess you always need that [one loss] to remind you to keep working hard.”
