Castañeda went missing Thursday evening after the boat he and two friends were on overturned. A search was launched and included Port Isabel and South Padre Island police, as well as county, state and federal agencies. The search continued through the night but was temporarily halted Friday morning as bad weather passed through the area. Castañeda’s body was discovered by Texas Parks and Wildlife Department officials shortly after the search was resumed.
