False Alarm

On Thursday July 30, 2015 at approximately 9:17 A.M., an officer was dispatched to a call at the 400 block of E. Maxan in reference to a welfare concern. Upon the officers arrival he made contact with a woman who stated that her child was missing. The officer patrolled the area and could not locate the child anywhere. Shortly thereafter the child was found, safe and returned back to his mother. The woman advised me that she had forgotten where he was. No further action taken the officer resumed his patrol duties at this time.

Just Wanna Be Alone

On July 30, 2015 at approximately 10:38, an officer was dispatched to 1679 TX HWY 100 in reference to a miscellaneous incident.  Upon the officer’s arrival, he made contact with a child, who advised him that his mother had gone inside the location for groceries and allowed the child to stay in the vehicle with the engine running and doors secured.  The officer then made contact with a woman who advised the officer that she allowed her child to remain unattended in the vehicle because he did not feel well.  The officer gathered all information for his report and resumed patrol.

Dents and Scratches

On Thursday July 30, 2015 at approximately 11:33 A.M., an officer was dispatched to a call at the parking lot of HEB in reference to criminal mischief to a vehicle. Upon the officer’s arrival the officer made contact with a woman who advised the officer that her vehicle was keyed and also had dents that were not there. The woman stated that she does not know who would do that to her car and also stated that she has no problems with anybody. Pictures were taken and logged in the photo log book, no further action taken the officer resumed his patrol duties at this time.

R.I.P. Lucky

On July 30, 2015 at approximately 2:24 P.M., the officer was dispatched to Windward Avenue in reference to an animal call.  Upon the officer’s arrival, he made contact with a woman who advised him that someone had struck her pet dog with their vehicle and did not report it.  Upon further investigation, it was found that the pet had gotten out of the patio area where it was placed and made its way onto the roadway.   The woman also stated she had seen a patrol unit from the Port Isabel Police Department but was not completely certain.  The officer then made contact with a man who confirmed the story.  The officer gathered all information for his report and resumed patrol

Broken

On Thursday, July 30, 2015 at approximately 3:07 P.M.  The officer was dispatched to the 300 block of Houston in reference to criminal mischief. The officer made contact with a woman that stated while she was home two male juveniles broke the front window.  The officer gathered information for his report and resumed patrol
