A Laguna Vista man has been arrested on two counts of making a terroristic threat after a verbal confrontation at Walgreen’s last Thursday.
According to police, Douglas M. Gonzalez, 63, got into an argument with another customer while inside the store on Feb. 26. The other customer, whose name was not released, attempted to calm Gonzalez, who was yelling. The two then engaged in a brief “verbal altercation,” police said. Gonzalez then left the store only to return a short time later wearing a different shirt and a clearly visible handgun in a brown leather holster.
“(The victim) observed Mr. Gonzalez not having a weapon prior to leaving the business and when he returned, Mr. Gonzalez had a different shirt and was wearing his firearm in an Open Carry manner,” the police report reads.
