Congratulations to the South Padre Island Golf Club women’s team, who recently captured the championship of the 2010 All Valley Women’s Golf Association. Started in 1947, the All Valley Association is an organization of women golfers who travel to different Rio Grande Valley golf courses each month for a day of golf and friendship.
A total of 22 golf clubs in the Rio Grande Valley and northern Mexico are members, including Alamo CC, Brownsville GC, The Club at Cimarron, Harlingen CC, Llano Grande GC, Los Lagos GC, Martin Valley Ranch GC, Matamoros El Saucito, McAllen CC, Meadow Creek GC, Monte Cristo CC, Palm View GC, Rancho Viejo CC, Reynosa CC, River Bend Resort, Shary GC, Tierra Del Sol GC, Tierra Santa GC, Tony Butler GC, Treasure Hills CC, Valley International CC, and the South Padre Island Golf Club in Laguna Vista.
