As the dog days of summer quickly approach, Friends of Animal Rescue are getting prepared with a series of events for the occasion.
Camp kindness, a child-centric program, will be offered beginning July 11 thru August 1. The camp will be held on Wednesday mornings from 10:30 a.m. until noon and welcomes children ages 5-12 to register – there is a $5 per class donation. Classes are limited to 12 per session, and will cover: kittens & cats 101; who let the dogs out; simple training for your dog; and Island Animals. Each class will be led by local professionals to include: Ms. Susan Geery (certified/trained obedience instructor); Mary Tous, and Friends of Animal Rescue.
