The City of South Padre Island (SPI) invites the public to a Town Hall meeting on Monday, January 28, 2013 at 5:30 p.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn (7010 Padre Boulevard) to present the Convention Centre Renovation and Expansion Project. SPI Mayor Robert N. Pinkerton, Jr. says the public’s support is needed to pursue this very important development project.
The meeting will present preliminary information and will give the public an opportunity to take part in the discussion during a Question & Answer session.
“The potential renovation and expansion of the existing Convention Center would have a major impact on our hotel industry, restaurants, shops, and clubs and would impact our sales tax in a very positive manner,” says Pinkerton, Jr. “If you have a question, and we have reached that point in the development, it will be answered.”
