Around 11:20 a.m. Sunday, South Padre Island authorities responded to a call of swimmers in distress at the beach by the 5100 block of Gulf Boulevard.
South Padre Island Rescue Ocean Lifeguards pulled two of the three swimmers further north near the 5500 block of Gulf Boulevard.
