The SPI Planning and Zoning Commission (P&Z) met last Thursday for their regular monthly meeting. The committee held a public hearing regarding revision of the Padre Boulevard and Entertainment District Code.
The committee opened with public comments, and member Russell Judah brought up the awarding of a contract by the City Council last week to prepare a transportation plan in the amount of $160,000. The contract was awarded as a major part of the Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) grant that the City has applied for. Judah asked to put the item on their next agenda as transportation should go under the planning part of the committee’s function.
