Summer league girls’ basketball has come to an end, unofficially at least and as far as any regular schedule of games involving Port Isabel high school players is concerned.
This week the Press talked with Port Isabel High girls’ basketball coach Blake Ramsey who reported that the team played its last two games Tuesday night.
The girls lost both ends of a low-scoring double-header at La Feria, 33-16, against one of the top big-school teams in the Valley: Weslaco. Their second loss was to Lyford with a score of 20-16.
