Change made to upcoming El Paseo production

Special to the PRESS

A slight change has been made to an upcoming El Paseo Arts Foundation double feature, which will now be a single feature due events involving the troupe.

“The production for next week has been plagued by every type of flu virus,” said El Paseo’s Joann Evans. “I can’t remember when we have had a rehearsal with a full cast. As a result, I have made the decision to perform only The Real Inspector Hound.”

“Inspector Hound, is really a full evening of entertainment on its own,” she added. “It was first produced in 1965 as a long one-act, running as it does about 75 minutes long. That was when most plays were three hours, three acts. Today, many new shows are written without intermission to run 80 – 90 minutes.”

On Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, December 6, 7 and 8, 2022, El Paseo Arts Foundation will present a delicious helping of theatre with the Tony and Academy Award-winning playwright Tom Stoppard’s one act masterpiece, The Real Inspector Hound. The play is a witty, surreal, and compelling tale in which a hackneyed production of an old melodrama becomes the vehicle for a cleverly crafted revenge plot.
