South Padre Island is gearing up to host the 42nd Annual Ladies Kingfish Tournament on Aug. 11-13, 2023. This beloved event is the first all-ladies tournament in Texas and has become a cherished Island tradition over the years.
“We are thrilled to continue the legacy of the Ladies Kingfish Tournament and mark its 42nd year,” said Blake Henry, South Padre Island CVB Executive Director. “This event not only brings female anglers together but also encourages fishing enthusiasts of all ages to participate, making it a fantastic opportunity for mothers, daughters and granddaughters to create unforgettable memories.”
The Ladies Kingfish Tournament, held in the backdrop of South Padre Island, celebrates women’s angling prowess and is a testament to the Island’s vibrant fishing community. The tournament is divided into two exciting divisions – bay and offshore – allowing participants to showcase their fishing skills while competing for impressive awards and prizes. Trophies will be awarded to the first three places in each category, and Grand Champion Bay and Grand Champion Offshore winners will also receive trophies.
