3103 THEFT: On July 26, 2023, at around 12:27 hours, officers were dispatched to the CVS store located at 1500 Padre Boulevard in reference to a theft. Suspect in case was located and placed under arrest for said theft.
INTOXICATED DRI-VER: On Thursday July 27, 2023, at approximately 02:11 hours, an officer observed while off duty an intoxicated driver at the 2500 block of Padre Boulevard. A secondary officer observed the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop at the 2000 block of Padre Boulevard subsequently placing the operator of the vehicle under arrest for driving while intoxicated. The operator of the vehicle was transported to the city jail where she was booked in.
THEFT: On July 26, 2023, at approximately 10:26 hours, officers were dispatched to the South Padre Island Police Department Lobby in reference to a theft. Officers made contact with a male subject who had two trash cans stolen from his driveway. Investigation revealed that an unknown subject committed an offense by unlawfully appropriating property with the intent to deprive the owner of the property without the owner’s affective consent.
JUVENILE ACCIDENT: On July 29, 2023, at approximately 11:50 hours, officers responded to the 1000 block of HWY 100 Port Isabel Texas in reference to a hit and run that occurred in South Padre Island. Upon arrival, officers made contact with a male subject that was detained by Port Isabel PD. Officers then placed the male subject under arrest and transported him to the city jail for booking and processing.
ACCIDENTAL DAMAGE: On Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at approximately 19:35 hours, an officer was dispatched to the 3400 block of Gulf Boulevard in reference to an accidental damage to property report regarding a pickup truck and an electronic gate. All available information was gathered for documentation purposes at this time.
PUBLIC INTOXICATION: On July 26, 2023, at approximately 01:16 hours, officers observed a female subject walking in the roadway. After making contact with the female subject, it was determined that the female subject was intoxicated to the degree that she was a danger to herself and the general public.
AMBULANCE CALL: On Monday, July 24, 2023, at approximately 06:04 hours, officers responded to the 3100 block of Padre Boulevard in reference to a EMS call. Upon officers’ arrival, they observed a male subject laying down on the sidewalk. EMS then arrived on scene and gave the male subject medical attention.
DRIVING WHILE INTOXICATED: On Aug. 1, 2023, at approximately 08:26 hours, an officer performed a traffic stop on a vehicle for a moving violation on the 6200 block of Padre Boulevard. The driver was subsequently arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated (class A misdemeanor) and the vehicle was impounded. Investigation revealed that the driver operated a motor vehicle in a public place while intoxicated.
