In a heartwarming gesture of community support, Lighthouse Assembly of God Church brought holiday joy to Laguna Heights and the projects with an unexpected food drive on Friday, December 5. Led by Pastor Hyde and the dedicated members of the church, this initiative aimed to provide a helping hand to families in need during the festive season.

Starting at 5:30 p.m., the Lighthouse Assembly team began distributing tons of food, going door-to-door throughout Laguna Heights. The endeavor was an afternoon affair, organized purely out of the kindness of their hearts, with no prior public announcement. The church kept this act of generosity discreet, emphasizing that nobody knew about it.

The main event unfolded at the church campus in Port Isabel, where the Lighthouse Assembly team coordinated the distribution efforts. The goal was to reach as many homes as possible, ensuring that families in the community could experience the warmth and comfort of a holiday meal.

The surprise food drive aligned with Lighthouse Assembly’s ethos of embodying the teachings of compassion and goodwill. The church recognized the importance of community connection, especially during the holiday season, and sought to uplift spirits through this unpublicized act of kindness.
