In Port Isabel Texas, not only can you drive across the bridge to the breathtaking beach but you can also see the beautiful works of art by Nancy Watson. Back in May,of this year Nancy an outstanding artist, of stained glass artworks opened her shop to sell her wares. She formerly worked out of her garage in Laguna Vista. But as anyone can attest to it is just too darn hot to do that in Texas for too long. The shop is located at 910 Tx 100 Ste 104, Port Isabel Texas. It is right off highway 100 across from the ice cream and candy/souvenir shop off the main road. When I asked the artist how the shop came about she said Patrick her husband came home with a huge box of stained glass pieces.The glass sat in her garage for a year before she decided to open the store. As an artist she had been creating these gorgeous works of art for three years. The art ranges in price from $60 to $125.00. Recently, she created a lovely mermaid stained glass piece. Her work is just stunning. She also makes custom pieces for customers.
Patrick her artistic and very talented husband creates unique jewelry and more. He is currently working on a fish guitar with an ocean scene and lights. His work is just as astounding. The couple makes outstanding artwork together that really compliments each other. Mark your calendars now for a show in Rockport which is the third weekend of each month. The show which the artists will be attending and showcasing their works will be at the center park in town. This is a huge show with about 40 to 50,000 people in attendance. So don’t miss it to view some of their creations. Don’t forget a holiday show will also take place in December in Corpus. The show is called Peppermint Alley. It is takes place every Sunday in December.
