Seventeen local professional artists who are members of the Laguna Madre Art League will be having a three day Art Show and Sale at the SPI Convention Center during the Market Days, February 25, 26, and 27. The artists will be present to show and tell about their artwork from 9-4pm each day. The Art Show will be located in rooms 1-4 at the left corridor at the end of the main hallway. Once you pay the $1 admission fee to Market Days there is no additional charge for the Art Show and Sale. The artists will be displaying watercolors, acrylics, and oil paintings as well as jewelry, stained glass, fabric art and collages and prints and cards of their original paintings. Artists who are displaying their work are Duane Beard, Katherine Damalas, Virginia Eggert, Beth Fedigan, Chelsea Fedigan, Marge Ford, Shirley Hawthorne, Carol Jones, Fern Kabalsky, Marne Law, Tom Leeman, Ben Moran, Peggy Paris, Carol Plumb, Dina Saldana, Roger Theriault, and Carol Thorson. Raffle tickets will also be sold at the event for chances to win artwork donated by the artists . The money will be used to support the Art Scholarship Fund which is awarded to qualifying art students at the Port Isabel High School each spring. Everyone is invited to this very colorful art show.
