Seven years and a lot of work have now resulted in groundbreaking on South Padre Island and the Cibola Land Project. Troy Giles of Giles Realty & Management say that seeing is believing when it comes to this new project.
“Oh yes,” said Giles, “so many people have said that they would believe this when they could see it, and now with the equipment here and in operation they can see this is real.”
The project will produce lots for five homes about eight miles north of the bridge. There will be paved streets, utilities and more for the homes and it comes after many years of work to get it done.
“This has been a long road,” said Giles, “from getting permits to running six miles of sewer lines and electric. Every step we took seemed to be a hurdle but we kept working towards this goal.”
