Bobby Barker will represent Port Isabel High in this weekend’s Rio Grande Valley Baseball Coaches Association East-West All-Star Game in La Joya.
Barker has been an outstanding pitcher for the Tarpon baseball program. His record for the 2011 season was 6-1, with his only defeat coming in the playoff series with Orange Grove. He was undefeated in district play at 5-0, with an ERA of 0.49 and 39 strikeouts.
The other two District 32-3A players named to the East squad are Eden Carmona of Rio Hondo and Justin Rodriguez of La Feria.
