On Thursday, Sept. 30, the Port Isabel Junior High seventh and eighth grade white football teams played in La Feria against the Lions.
The seventh grade team won their competition, 8-6, on a touchdown by Junior Martinez and a two-point conversion by Sidney “Trey” Mock III. They were supported by great blocking up front thanks to Devin Davila, Ian Torres, Aaron Hernandez, Juan Carlos Apango, Dylan Athenas, and Martin Alvarado. Receivers Brandon Perez and Jose Martinez also assisted in blocking.
