Board expected to consider appointing attorney

A meeting of the Laguna Vista Community Development Corporation is scheduled for Thursday, March 8 at 4 p.m. at City Hall, 122 Fernandez St.

The board is expected to consider and appoint new legal representation as a result of the recent resignation of Ramon Vela as the town’s attorney of record. The Town Council last week appointed Ricardo Morado to serve as legal counsel.

Other items includedon the agenda include consideration of a funding request for construction of a backstop for the practice baseball fields at the proposed sports complex, expected to be built adjacent to the Tanglewood Apartment complex.
