Port Isabel hosted the inaugural Walk for Autism Saturday.
Elsa Garcia, special education and bilingual instructor for the Point Isabel Independent School District, coordinated the event. She said there were over 400 registered participants in the walk.
The trek was from the flagpoles at Port Isabel High School to the Gazebo. The path was marked with blue ribbons throughout the city.
