Laguna Vista had the first of three groundbreaking ceremonies for the town’s public parks on May 1.
City manager Rolando Vela said it was the town council’s goal to make its parks a centerpiece of the community.
“People of all ages want to see top quality parks,” Vela said.
Town Council voted on $1.5 million in certificates of obligation to fund the construction of the projects, Vela said, the town of Laguna Vista is investing in their community.
