The South Padre Island Chamber of Commerce is hosting a “Shop the Island” promotion to run from May 1 thru May 31, 2012, for patrons who spend $20 or more, and will include all businesses and/or restaurants on SPI.
“We are trying to encourage people to shop on the Island, and we [the Chamber] will have a drawing for (two) $100 shopping sprees in June,” said Sue Warner, Member Services Manager, SPI Chamber of Commerce.
The month-long promo will invite individuals to participate in the drawing by submitting their name, address, and telephone number at any of the 4 drop-off locations on the Island. Warner added, “The $100 shopping spree will be in the form of $20 gift certificates from various businesses on the Island.”
