The City of South Padre Island’s Parks and Recreation committee, in participation with area businesses, will host their Second Annual Red, Wine, and Blues concert on Friday, May 27 from 7-10 p.m. at the SPI Hilton Garden Inn-Beachside.
A true Texas blues guitarist legend, Bobby Mack, will be this year’s feature artist and shares his style with other North Texas guitar legends such as Denny Freeman, Derek O’Brien, and Jimmie and Stevie Ray Vaughn.
Mack has helped define the Austin blues genre of the late 70’s and early 80’s and has rocked the stage with legends such as Albert Collins, Buddy Guy, and Otis Rush. Mack will be sure to deliver a revved up guitar performance like no one else.
The event is free of charge, and there will also be BBQ, snacks, and drinks available for purchase.
