Port Isabel Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion Post 498 held a Memorial Day Ceremony at the Port Isabel Cemetery.
Mayor Joe E. Vega said the City of Port Isabel is showing it’s patriotism with flags posted around the city and with a 100 foot long flag posted on the lighthouse.
“It is important we recognize those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom,” Vega said.
