Schools in the district will see a greater focus on technology in classrooms next year if things go according to plan for the Point Isabel Independent School District.
The board held a goals-setting meeting Thursday to discuss where it wants to see improvements in next year’s schools, and technology became a main focus.
“We need to utilize the technology we have to the best of our ability, and right now we aren’t doing it,” said Mickey Furcron, a board member. “We go to these conferences, they talk about the digital learner, and it goes right over our heads.”
