Michael Wangolo, a missionary from Uganda, began his sermon with a Bible passage familiar to most evangelical Christians. It’s the last thing Jesus said to his followers before ascending into Heaven, according to scripture.

Matthew 28: 19-20: “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.”

But on Wednesday night, rather than encouraging the church to spread the message to third-world countries like Uganda, Wangolo urged the Americans to become better Christians.
