Employees from South Shore Bait and Tackle cleaned up diesel from their docks Monday morning.

Manager Rodrigo Esparza said his employees noticed the diesel at 7:45 a.m. and made sure the source of the spill was not from his store. He said he notified several agencies of the spill.

“We noticed the Libra wasn’t at its dock this morning,” Esparza said.

Esparza said that GLO determined the spill was not from his property. He said it is suspected that a tug boat from a nearby business sank in the early morning hours because of the area where the diesel had reached.
