The Port Isabel Chamber of Commerce will host the World’s Championship Shrimp Cook-Off Sunday, November 4.
Over a ton of fresh Gulf shrimp will be expertly prepared by over two dozen professional and amateur chefs who compete for top honors in this the event’s 19th year. Contestants are judged on appearance, aroma and taste of their specialty dishes and samples are available to the general public at a modest fee.
Live entertainment will be provided by The Agency specializing in authentic versions of rock, soul, and mo-town classic hits from the 50s, 60s and 70s.
Vendors offering a wide variety of crafts, collectibles or that elusive object will add to the day’s experience. Games and rides are available for children of all ages.
The event will be at the Bealls parking lot located 1750 Texas Highway 100, Port Isabel.
