More than 3,000 Winter Texans are anticipated to attend the Ninth Annual Winter Texan Appreciation Fiesta hosted by the City of Harlingen Parks and Recreation Department.
This free and open to the public event at Casa de Amistad, located at 1204 Fair Park Blvd. in Harlingen, will begin at 11 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 21. Local businesses such as HEB, Mr. Gatti’s Pizza, Colletti’s at the Reese and several healthcare providers will set up booths to give out freebies and welcome the Winter Texans back for the season.
The Ultimate Johnny Cash Tribute will be the featured musical performance with the B4 cover band acting as the special musical guest. Also performing will be Mariachi Sol Azteca, Nitelife Productions DJ and Donna Meyers, who’ll present a special line-dancing performance.
From 10 a.m. to 12 noon, the B4 cover band will be playing outside as guests enter. From 11 a.m. to noon, Mariachi Sol Azteca will be performing. From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Nitelife Productions DJ will be onstage during a tradeshow. From 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., Meyers will be performing. And scheduled at 2 p.m. is the Ultimate Johnny Cash Tribute Concert.
