Special to the Parade
Dolphins love. Dolphins play. Sharing their world with us is a very special time and a time that has given so many joys, and many of you are getting warm fuzzies that have had this experience and remember it.
It is magical and it is special. The dolphins of the Laguna Madre have a good life and they will share their joy with you if you gain their trust. It has taken me years to do that. And I am still learning from them.
The most important thing I have learned is that it is not unlike your own friends. You join them when you are invited. And that is the first thing that we see when we find them on my boat. Are we invited? Or perhaps they are busy. Is it a mother and a baby that need their alone time? Are they dining? Are we welcome? And they will let us know. How? By their body language. Their memory banks are impeccable. They have to be. They have to know so much to survive in total nature. So they know each boat and how they will be treated. All they ask is for some respect, and then Mama Mia do they give, and give and give. What a giving of pure joy.
We do not go out to take from them but to share our joy with them, and if they are not busy and we are invited, they will share theirs with us. See… I love it!
It is a unique and wonderful nature niche!
